Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a young man was assaulted in the region last night.
The incident occurred in Kilkenny City where the man was attacked by several others.
He also had some property stolen in the attack.
Kilkenny Gardaí have asked anyone in the Kells Road area between 8:45 and 9:15pm to contact them if they have any information.
