Gardaí in Waterford city are investigating an alleged stabbing that occurred at JD Wetherspoons: The Arundel Gate.
The alleged assault is understood to have occurred at 19:14 on Tuesday, August 2nd.
The injured party, understood to be a woman in her thirties, was taken to University Hospital Waterford to receive treatment for the injury sustained.
A 23-year-old male has since been arrested and is being detained at Waterford Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the CJA 1984.
