Gardaí in Carlow have arrested a drink-driver while carrying out a Covid-19 checkpoint overnight.
The motorist failed a roadside breath test on the Dublin Road and was brought to Carlow Garda Station.
Further breath tests show the person was twice the legal limit.
The driver was charged to appear before Carlow District Court.
