Fourteen puppies were rescued by Gardai and the WSPCA last night at Rosslare Europort.
The puppies were tied with rope and kept in plastic containers in the back of a jeep.

In a post on Facebook, the Wexford Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said the puppies were between six and eight weeks old.
There was a half a bag of greyhound nuts with the puppies.
The young dogs are now safely in the care of the WSPCA and have been seen by vets.
Many people have expressed interest in taking the puppies, and the WSPCA said they will be ready for rehoming in 2-3 weeks.
