Four South East people to feature in an RTE documentary about Schizophrenia tonight

Four people from the South East are set to feature in a television documentary about Schizophrenia tonight.

The four will all appear on 'Schizophrenia: The voices in my head' on RTE 2 at 10 o'clock.

The documentary tracks the daily lives, struggles and triumphs of some young Irish people living with the condition.

It's the first time these people will speak about their relationship with Schizophrenia and the impact it has on their daily lives.

Nicola spoke to Beat news and says the documentary is about getting rid of the stigma that surrounds mental health issues and illness within our society today.

Nicola is also an ambassador for 'see change' an alliance of organisations working together through the National Stigma Reduction Partnership to bring about positive change in public attitudes and behaviour towards people with mental health problems.
