Former Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs has been charged with assault and controlling or coercive behaviour.
The Wales manager is accused of causing actual bodily harm to a woman in her 30s, and common assault of another in her 20s.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance in the Worsley area of Salford in November last year.
The 47-year-old's due before magistrates on Wednesday.
