Fire crews are battling a significant gorse fire on Mount Leinster tonight.
Personnel from Bagenalstown Fire Service are at the scene of the blaze, which eyewitnesses have described as "the worst they've seen for awhile."
It's the second night that crews from Carlow have attended fires on the mountain, with another one being dealt with just last night.
It's understood the fire tonight is on the Myshall side of the mountain, close to the nine stones area.
People are being asked to avoid the mountain tonight.
