A fire at McCauley's in Wexford town has caused damage to the building.
Emergency services received a call in relation to a fire at 8 minutes to 3 yesterday afternoon, and arrived at the Redmond Sqaure branch of Mc Cauley Pharmacies in Wexford town at three minutes past 3.
The shop in the Redmond Square area has been closed until further notice, along with the businesses that share the building.
Fire Services attended the scene from across the county departing from New Ross, Enniscorthy and Wexford Town itself.
The fire was contained, within the structure of the building and according to Wexford's Fire Chief Paul l'Estrange, it seems that the internal part of the building has been relatively unaffected by the blaze.
However, there has been some smoke and water damage and the building remains closed until further notice.
The premises was evacuated before emergency services arrived, and it's understood that there are no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire has yet to be to established, and investigations are ongoing.
Business is being directed to the McCauley's store in North Main street for those who wish to collect prescriptions and other services.
