Residents of Ferrybank and the surrounding area are being invited to an free open event this afternoon.
Park Life will take place from 2PM to 4PM, and is an opportunity for residents of all ages to get involved in their new neighbourhood park at the location, where they can have their say on its imminent design and development.
Eilís Lavelle spoke to Beat news about the event.
She explained what people can expect on the day.
“The event is happening from two to four today.”
“It’s on the site just opposite the roundabout at Aldi.”
“People can drop by at any time; we’ll have outdoor games and afternoon workshops.”
“It’s really an opportunity for people to gather and it's also an opportunity for us to learn what the community would like in the future park in Ferrybank.”
“We’d like to hear from as wide a selection of people as possible.”
“We’re looking to hear from any future users of the Ferrybank park.”
Work on €300,000 project to begin this September.
