70 days after the General Election, Enda Kenny has been re-elected Taoiseach of Ireland.
He has just won a vote in the Dail after Fine Gael came to an agreement with a number of Independents for their support in a minority Government.
Waterford's John Halligan voted for the Fine Gael leader after securing a deal on cardiac services at University Hospital Waterford, but Tipp's Mattie McGrath voted against the appointment.
In total 59 TDs voted for Mr. Kenny, who has become the first leader of Fine Gael to be re-elected Taoiseach.
Attention now turns to the makeup of the new Government, with Cabinet positions expected to be filled in the coming days.
