Eleven teenagers vomited before collapsing after playing with an Ouija board at a school, it is reported.
The incident, which took place at an agricultural technical institute in Columbia, resulted in the teenagers requiring hospital treatment from medics.
It is reported that eleven teenagers, aged between 13 and 17, began to experience abdominal pain and muscle spasms, before vomiting violently and eventually passing out.
The teens were then brought to a nearby medical centre, where five were transferred to a hospital for further treatment.
The unusual incident prompted an investigation where the influence of the Ouija board was not ruled out.
Interviews conducted among the teenagers following their recovery revealed that all those involved drank from the same glass of water and ate the same food, pointing towards suspected food poisoning.
Emergency medical coordinator at Hospital del Socorro, Juan Pablo Vargas Noguera, said: "We did not find a psychological alteration in the children, taking into account that it was said that it would have been from playing the Ouija board."
The rectory of the teenager's school has refused to rule out the influence of the Ouija until all facts have been clarified.
