Elective surgeries have been shelved for the second day in a row over water quality concerns in the Ardkeen area.
The issue is believed to stem from last weekend when a lightening strike sparked a technical fault in the reservoir which fed the hospital.
Richard Dooley, General Manager of University Hospital Waterford, says they've brought over 10 thousand litres of fresh water into the hospital over the past 48 hours.
Emergency and cancer care continues as normal.
Waterford City & County Council is reassuring locals that there are no health issues with the water itself - which remains discoloured.
Dispute these calls to ease concerns, Mr. Dooley says they have to be extra cautious.
