Eight people have been found in a shipping container at Rosslare Port.
Gardaí say the three adults and five children received medical treatment at the scene and don't require any further medical attention.
They were discovered this afternoon after a Stena Line ferry docked at the port after travelling from Cherbourg.
Some of them are believed to be family members.

Their claims for asylum will be now be assessed by authorities.
