Over a quarter of a million euro worth of drugs has been seized in Athlone.
Revenue officers carried out a search of a premises in the town, and discovered the cannabis herb and a small amount of ecstasy in parcels that weighed over 13kgs.
The drugs, worth €276,000, were concealed in the packages which originated from Europe.
They were destined for addresses in Dublin, Roscommon, Waterford, Westmeath and Wicklow.

Investigations are ongoing.
This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs.
In a statement released today, they said 'if businesses or members of the public have any information regarding smuggling, they can contact Revenue in confidence on Confidential Phone Number 1800 295 295.'
