Revenue has discovered more than 10 thousand euro worth of cigarettes and tobacco in Tipperary.
Revenue officers stopped and searched a car in Golden, County Tipperary yesterday morning, and found a quantity of contraband cigarettes.
Further illicit cigarettes and tobacco were also discovered in a follow up search of a house.
A total of 22,800 cigarettes, marked as various brands were seized, along with 200 grams of tobacco, branded 'Amber Leaf' and 'Cherry Choice'.
Officers also seized a vehicle.
A man in his 50s was questioned and a file is currently being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
