A driver was caught travelling almost double the speed limit in Co. Kilkenny.
Kilkenny Roads Policing Unit were out and about earlier today where they conducted numerous speed checks across the marble County, including one at Johnstown Village.
A number of vehicles were detected travelling over the speed limit, where Gardaí clocked one vehicle that was doing 94kph in the 50km zone.
Another was caught driving at 87kph while a lorry was clocked doing 74kph.

Kilkenny Gardaí took to Facebook to appeal to people to reduce their speed.
