A South East animal shelter has made an appeal to the public for any pet food or bedding donations they don't need.
Deise Animal Sanctuary have issued the appeal following shortages stemming from a busy first quarter.
The appeal has been supported by Tipp model Roz Purcell, who took to Instagram to show the donation she's made.
Welfare Officer Pat Edwards told Beat News the situation they're in isn't out of the ordinary:
'The biggest problem is people's circumstances changing at the moment.'
'People are coming out of houses and into an apartment and they're unable to take the family pets with them, so we're trying to rehome those dogs as well'
'We do a lot of rehoming and taking dogs in, while the litters have started for the pups as well, so we are getting inundated with those as well.'
