Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan has died.
She was 46 and is survived by three children.
A statement from her PR agency said:
"Irish and international singer Dolores O’Riordan has died suddenly in London today, according to her publicist.
She was 46 years old.
The lead singer with the Irish band The Cranberries, was in London for a short recording session.
No further details are available at this time.
Family members are devastated to hear the breaking news and have requested privacy at this very difficult time."
O’Riordan became the lead singer in The Cranberries before the Limerick band would go on to gain huge success in the early to mid 90s.
On 18 July 1994, O'Riordan married Don Burton, the former tour manager of Duran Duran in Holycross Abbey near Thurles, County Tipperary.
O'Riordan and Burton split up in 2014 after 20 years together.
