Dogs Trust received 235 requests from people looking to return a pet after Christmas.
It's a 36% reduction in people asking to hand a dog back.
However, Dogs Trust say they're still concerned, as it's tough to provide the proper training around Christmas.
The charity are preparing for an influx of puppies, as they have been given pregnant animals.
