A disqualified motorist has been caught driving seven times over the drink-drive limit in Waterford city.
The motorist, whose car was displaying L-Plates, was stopped by Waterford's Road Policing Unit on the Newtown Road in the city on suspicion of drink-driving.
When stopped, gardaí found the motorist to be seven times over the legal drink-drive limit.
On further inspection, the rogue motorist was found to be driving whilst disqualified.
The motorist was arrested with legal proceedings to follow.

Taking to Twitter, the official @gardatraffic account said: "Waterford Roads Policing Unit were on patrol in Waterford City when they stopped this diver on suspicion of drink driving.
