The price of a fresh cod with a bag of chips looks set to rise.
The European Commission has informed Irish fishing fleets that they'll have to reduce their annual cod catch by 68 per cent.
Cod stocks have fallen dramatically off the coasts of Ireland and the EU authorities are planning to re-grow numbers over the coming years.
