Residents in Clonmel in Tipp are being warned of a bogus charity collector in the town.
There are reports of a man calling to houses asking for people to sign up a direct debit to make donations to the Brothers of Charity.
The Brothers of Charity in Clonmel confirmed to Beat News they never authorise people to collect door to door for them.
If anyone is concerned or has experienced someone suspicious calling to their door they should contact Clonmel Gardai.
