The Talbot Collection has announced the acquisition of the Clonmel Park Hotel.
Situated on the doorstep of the Comeragh Mountains, in the heart of Irelands Ancient East, and part of the Munster Vales, this acquisition will be the third hotel in Munster for the group.
The group currently has seven sister hotels all ideally located in Cork, Carlow, Wexford, Dublin, and with the new Talbot Hotel Clonmel now taking it to eight properties in total.
The Clonmel Park Hotel has been under the management of Tetrarch for the past seven years and has an excellent reputation not only locally, but nationally. With 120 staff, the hotel is one of the biggest hospitality employers in the county. Its central location and geographical base to all the other Talbot Hotels make this acquisition a very strategic move for the Talbot Collection.

A key employer in the region, Mr. Gavin paid tribute to the 120 staff within the hotel saying, “the team is the biggest asset to the hotel and the Clonmel Park Hotel has an incredibly skilled and dedicated team that we as a group look forward to working alongside”.

The Clonmel Park Hotel boasts 99 bedrooms, a bar, restaurant, leisure centre, spa, and extensive conference & banqueting facilities. The 500-seater ballroom has hosted weddings, concerts, and conferences from all over the world.
Since it opened its doors in 2006, the Clonmel Park Hotel has been an integral part of the community, for both employment and leisure. For visiting tourists and the domestic trade, the hotel is itself a destination, with its onsite bar, restaurant, spa, and leisure centre.

The Talbot Hotel Clonmel will continue providing increased capital investment, tourism-related development and promotion, and local charitable contributions and sponsorships to the area.
The hotel will also continue its ongoing relationship with local schools and colleges, developing the hospitality leaders for the future. The Talbot Collection prides itself on the training and development of its employees and only recently 19 chefs graduated from their bespoke Talbot Chef Development programme.
