A child has been killed after a house exploded in south London.
Four people have been rescued from the scene.
The terraced property collapsed, damaging neighbouring homes in Thornton Heath.
Forty homes have since been evacuated and a 50-metre police cordon is in place.
Emergency services were called just after 7 o'clock this morning - and don't yet know the cause of the blast.
London's Ambulance Service took to Twitter earlier today, posting: "This morning, alongside colleagues from @LondonFire, we attended an incident in Thornton Heath.
"We treated four people. One was discharged and three others were taken to hospital. Sadly, a child was also pronounced dead at the scene. All LAS crews have now been stood down."

Sky News reporter Madeline Ratcliffe says it was a huge explosion: "Locals living down the road, as far away as 700 meters [away] felt the boom and the blast this morning."
She continued: "It woke many of them up, some said they felt it move like a storm through their house, slamming doors and leaving window frames rattling."
