Charges against a 28 year old man have been upgraded to murder at Waterford District Court.
28-year-old Stephen Keane, with an address at Coolfin Meadows in Portlaw had been charged on December 15th with assault causing harm following the death of a man in County Waterford.
53 year old John Lowe was found dead at a house in Portlaw on December 13th.
Stephen Keane, appeared at Waterford District Court this morning where he was charged with the murder of Mr. John Lowe.

He was remanded in custody and will appear in court next week. Any bail application will be considered by the High Court.
