The CBS primary school in Wexford will remain closed this week due to an outbreak of Covid-19.
It's understood over 30 confirmed cases are currently reported in the school, with more test results awaited in the coming days.
According to the Wexford People newspaper, following an emergency meeting of the Board of Management yesterday evening (Sunday), the decision was taken that all school buildings are to remain closed “until after midterm break” which is due to begin on October 25th.
Parents were told about the decision yesterday evening.

Teachers will now begin to reach out to parents and pupils to set up remote learning until after the mid-term break.
Meanwhile, the HSE/South East Community Healthcare has released a statement about the outbreak.
The Public Health Dept., HSE/South East area (in relation to counties Carlow, Kilkenny, South Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford) has been providing public health advice to schools in response to cases of COVID-19.
The HSE does not comment on individual situations but public health advice is appropriate to the current level of infection in a school and in the community and in line with national policy regarding contact tracing of children under 13.
