11 third level institutes are set to benefit from funding which will allow major building works.

IT Carlow is set to get a new science building and WIT a new engineering, computing and general teaching building.
The 11 projects are in; Carlow, Waterford, Athlone, Cork, Dun Laoghaire, Galway, Blanchardstown, Tallaght, Tralee, Letterkenny and Limerick.

The Irish Times reports the creation of 'approximately 1,500 construction-related jobs during the building phase.'
