Gardaí in Carlow are appealling for information after a young teenage girl was allegedly sexually assaulted on Halloween night.
The incident happened between 11.30pm on Monday and 2.15am on Tuesday in Bagenalstown, Co Carlow. It is believed that the victim had been attending a Halloween bonfire in the town on the night of the attack. However the location of the actual incident has not been identified.
Gardai have appealed for anyone with information to contact them in Bagenalstown Station.
A spokesperson said: "Gardaí at Bagenalstown, County Carlow are investigating an assault on a female that occurred between 11.30pm, Monday 31st October 2016 and 2.15am Tuesday 1st November 2016."
"The location as to where the alleged incident occurred is yet to be identified."
"Investigations are ongoing. No arrests have been made."
