The Carlow Brewing Company is set to make cider in Bagenalstown.
The regional brewer is one of Ireland's biggest independent craft beer producers.
Trading as O'Hara's Brewery, they've acquired Craigies Brewery - based in Co.Wicklow.
Production will move to Carlow - Managing Director Seamus O'Hara told Beat News, "we've been keen for a while to get into our own production.
So what's happened now is we've reached agreement with Craigies Cider from Blessington - to purchase their business.
That will allow us to directly get into cider production ourselves and work with the same apple providers that they already work with - in Waterford Kilkenny, and Tipperary - to continue both the Craigies Cider brand and produce our own Falling Apple Cider brand."
