The fiancee of murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi has pleaded with Justin Bieber to cancel his upcoming performance in Saudi Arabia.
The 27-year-old is set to headline at Saudi Arabia's Formula One Race in December, joined by artists such as ASAP Rocky, David Guetta and Jason Derulo in Jeddah's inaugural Grand Prix.
Hatice Cengiz wrote an open letter published in the Washington Post that says he should take a stand against the regime.
She urged Bieber to remember that he's performing on an invitation from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman himself.
"This is a unique opportunity to send a powerful message to the world that your name and talent will not be used to restore the reputation of a regime that kills its critics", she wrote.
Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman denies any involvement in the journalist's death.
