Busk Aid returns to the streets of Waterford City tomorrow

Busk Aid is returning to the streets of Waterford City tomorrow.

The event starts at 11am and will see musicians from the South East busk while raising money for homelessness charities.

This year is the 6th time the fundraiser takes place, with over €7,000 raised last year virtually.

Speaking to Beat News, Founder of Busk Aid, Tadhg Williams explains more about why they picked a homeless charity:

"We raise money for Tintean Housing Association which provides accommodation and supports for women in homelessness situations."

"I used to spend my Saturday afternoons on the streets of Waterford, but when you're busking you realise you are sharing the streets with so many people, and many a time I was busking I would see people sitting down with a cup in front of them, you'd feel guilty."

"I just became a lot more aware of the homelessness situation in the South East and Ireland."
