Bus Eireann has announced this evening that it will not operate any nationwide services between 5am and 2pm tomorrow.
All services - including the Expressway network - are cancelled due to the national red weather alert.
The company will review the situation in the morning, and will attempt to provide some level of service in parts of the country in the afternoon.
They say that the disruption is likely to be widespread and could continue for most of the day.
Bus Eireann has also informed their employees not to travel to work before 2pm tomorrow.
The company apologises to customers for the inconvenience and disruption, but is taken the decision in the "interests of our customers and staff, and following careful consideration of the advice of agencies co-ordinating a response to Hurricane Ophelia."
