The Union of Students in Ireland has described Budget 2023 as 'disappointing' for those in college.
President, Beth O'Reilly, says it's a pity much of the supports for students are once off, and don't include accommodation.
"One of the main things they could have really assisted students this year and next year would be the introduction of rent caps for student accommodation.
"There are absolutely extortionate rents being charged at the moment all over the country.
"It's where students are seeing the most significant costs and I think that was an area that was definitely overlooked."
