Gardaí in Waterford are investigating the recovery of a man’s body from the River Suir.
The incident took place at Ferrybank around 4pm yesterday afternoon.
The man in his 30s, was taken to University Hospital Waterford, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
It is understood that this is being treated as a tragic incident and a post-mortem will take place at a later date.
