Gardaí are investigating all circumstances following the discovery of two bodies on Monday in Cloneen, Co.Tipperary.
It's understood the man and woman are aged in their 70s and 80s.
Their bodies were found at a house in Clooneen and it's understood they were dead for a long time before being discovered. No foul play is suspected.
The scene remains preserved at this time and an examination by the Garda Technical Bureau will take place later this evening.
The offices of the State Pathologist have been notified.
