Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow Low Temperature Warning for fourteen counties.
The low temperature alert covers Munster, Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.
The forecaster warns that it will turn very cold tonight with lowest temperatures falling to between -2 and -5 degrees.

It will stay very cold on Sunday morning.
The warning is valid from 6pm this evening until 12 noon tomorrow.
