A new bill that would make it easier for Irish people to live and work in the US has suffered a setback.
The deadline has passed for the outgoing US Senate to approve the bill which was passed in the House of Representatives in November.
A new Congress begins in Washington today, meaning the bill which would give Irish people access to the E-3 visa programme has been stalled.
