The key author of a key European Parliament resolution condemning Russian aggression in Ukraine has called Mick Wallace ‘completely irrelevant' in the debate.
It’s as the Wexford MEP was one of only 13 members who voted against the motion, with 637 in favour.

Wallace and fellow independent MEP Clare Daly said the resolution was “manipulating public anger to accelerate militarisation”
But speaking to Beat News, rapporteur Michael Gahler gave his reaction to the Irish MEP oppositions:
Meanwhile, over €13 million in aid money has been raised by the Irish Red Cross for Ukraine.
Approximately 6,100 people have pledged to share their accommodation with Ukrainian refugees as they arrive in Ireland.
Their registration portal, which was originally created for Syrian refugees, crashed last night due to the volume of pledges it received.
The European Commission have announced that all those fleeing from Ukraine will have the right to education, social welfare, and universal healthcare in the EU.
