At least 22 found dead at nightclub in South African city of East London

At least 22 people have reportedly been found dead at a South African nightclub. Bodies were found at the Enyobeni Tavern in East London.

News outlets say witnesses described seeing 'bodies everywhere' but with 'no sign of injury' - prompting suggestions of a poisoning or a stampede.

The ages of the victims ranged from 18 to 20 years old, Eastern Cape Police spokesperson Brigadier Thembinkosi Kinana told the Newzroom Africa television channel.

Police say they won't speculate about the causes of death.
