There have been a number of arrests in Thomastown this morning.
The move is part of Operation Storm in relation to criminal activities and people on warrant.
Up to 60 Gardai, assisted by 50 trainee Gardai from Templemore, were briefed earlier before operations got underway in the Thomastown area.
