Anonymous has released a warning to 'foolish' Russian president Vladamir Putin.
In a video from the hacktivist collective, a masked figure appears to give out an ominous warning directly to the Russian leader.
In the video, the figure says “Mr Putin, the ongoing invasion of Ukraine has shown that your regime has no respect for human rights or the self-determination of your neighbours" - this message comes after the invasion of Ukraine ordered by Putin in the early hours of the 24th of February.
The group claims that the ‘whole world’ can see through Putin’s propaganda and his actions are not supported by his own people. The video also showcases clips of anti-war protests in Moscow during the week.
Beat News understands that the group intends to enact "unprecedented cyber-attacks from all corners of the world" with several Russian websites already being attacked by the group in the past several days.
The figure finishes the video with a message stating “The people of the world will resist you every step of the way. This is not a war that you can win, regardless of how powerful you think you are. We are Anonymous. We are legion. Expect us.”
