It's been confirmed that the Aherlow House Hotel in Co Tipp will reopen next month after the property was sold to a Dublin based hotel operator.
The news means 47 jobs have been secured as a result of the sale, and ensures the availability of the venue to wedding couples who had booked weddings in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
It's believed up to 40 couples had future wedding bookings at the venue and were forced to look for alternative arrangements, without any guarantee over their deposits.
Adrian Shanagher, an experienced hotel operator based in Dublin, has purchased the venue all will honour all future weddings that were booked with the previous tenant company and has confirmed that he will offer couples full credit against their future wedding cost in Aherlow House Hotel for any deposits they lost with the previous operator.
The new owner is expected to immediately begin an investment and refurbishment programme at the property and expects to reopen to guests and patrons on the 3rd March 2016.
