A record crowd is expected as the gates open for this year’s Electric Picnic festival in Stradbally in Co Laois.
The capacity has been increased to 70,000 as the event makes its return after a two year absence due to the pandemic.
Dermot Kennedy and Megan Thee Stallion are headlining the opening day of the festival.
The site opened yesterday for 20,000 early entry ticket holders, while the music and entertainment kicks off today.

The main arena is bigger, the main stage has moved slightly, and several other areas like Mind and Body are in new locations on the site.
