A 19-year-old man's been charged as part of an investigation into Covid-19 unemployment payments.

He'd allegedly been receiving six separate payments of 350 euro a week into a bank account using fake names.

A house in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, was searched yesterday, following intelligence from the Department of Social Protection.

The teenager's due to appear in court on June 6th.
