Over 80 full and part-time jobs will be created in Carlow later this year.
That's as UK home, leisure and gardens superstore, The Range, prepares to open a branch in the town.
The new store will be taking over the former Homebase unit located at Four Lakes Retail Park
and hopes to open later this year.
The Range is currently going through a period of expansion and growth, with the UK
retailer now operating over 140 stores across the UK and Ireland.
The new store in Carlow will be the British retailer’s fourth branch in Ireland, following
successful launches in Limerick last August and Cork & Liffey Valley, Dublin earlier this year.
Chris Dawson commented on the new store, “Following the successful launch in Ireland last
summer, we are really excited to be able to continue our international expansion with a new
store in Carlow.
It is a great step in the company’s progression and growth and the job
creation is expected to be a fantastic boost to the local economy.”
He added, “We look forward to welcoming the locals to their new store to discover the
fantastic selection of products we have available.”
