63 deaths related to Covid-19 have been reported to the Department of Health over the past week.
2,148 new cases have been detected, while there are 464 people in hospital.
There has been a total of 5,369* deaths related to #COVID19 notified in Ireland. This includes 63 deaths newly notified in the past week (since last Wednesday).

86 people with the virus are being treated in ICU.
Professor Philip Nolan is NPHET's chief modelling advisor - he's compared the case numbers and admissions to hospital between the first half of this year, and the second half so far:
"We've had 79% the number of cases notified but 55% the number of hospitalisations so you're seeing there the additional protection of vaccination if you become infected it offers an additional against the need to be hospitalised."
