The two cast-iron roadside mile markers, were ripped from the limestone walls on the Lismore to Tallow Road using crowbars on Wednesday night.

It comes as the village prepares to mark it's 25th anniversary as a heritage town.

She says you couldn't put a price on what was taken.

"They'd age from the 1800s, they were where the men used to do all the stone breaking on the side of the road to lay down the news roads, so it lets people see the way people use to work all those years ago. So monetary value you couldn't put it a value on it for the amount of history and heritage that has been displaced with them missing."
