Waterford was celebrating at the Green Business and Sustainability Awards last night which were held in Dublin.
4 awards were won by people from the County
Flahavans took home 3 gongs for Medium Sized Organisation of the Year, Food & Beverage Award & The Sustainable Energy Achievement Award
Meanwhile Senator Grace O’Sullivan was the recipient of the 'Green Leader 2016' award,
She told us about the win and what it meant to her.
"Well the Green Award is to acknowledged the work of someone in the area of promoting green businesses, green ideas like solutions, inovation.
So I was awarded the Green Leader 2016 award which was a massive surprise for me because I had absolutely no idea I was on the shortlist for it so it was a great honour and I'm really privilaged to have been nominated & awarded now"
