Gardai in Waterford say there have been 8 separate burglaries and thefts in the past 24 hours alone.

Report: Injured party reported parking his van close to him where he was working. He was working with a kangoo hammer on a nearby footpath. When he returned to his van discovered a Hilti Drill with drill in red box taken.

Report: Injured party returned home to find front door open and car keys taken. The car a Bronze Hyundai 152 W 311 was taken from the driveway. This vehicle was later discovered at Rockshire House, Rockshire road, Ferrybank.

Report: Injured party reported disturbing 2 males who were in his office. Some cash taken. The two were dressed in black clothing, approx 5 ft 7. One male had a crowbar in his hand. The two fled in the direction of the People’s Park.
