Aherlow House Hotel in Co. Tipperary has announced it has ceased trading.
The company says the hotel is now in the hands of the receiver after negotations to keep the hotel opened were unsuccessful.
Staff at the hotel have been informed their employment has been terminated with the loss of 25 jobs in total.
They say they are no longer in a position to honour bookings received but have passed on details to the receiver.

They have also relocated a number of wedding bookings to other hotels nearby.
